Yeah, & i'm sorry MK... I wanted to love it too. I like your posts & agree with you almost all of the time & I was really looking forward to AC. Had to see it for myself, I even went against my better judgement & bought it. I'll enjoy it, but it is what it is. Peace.
I would suggest renting. Played it for 3 hours last night, it doesnt deserve a score above a 7.5 at most.

Played the game for 2 1/2 hours tonight.. had to see for myself. Sorry MK Red, i know u love this game... & i wanted to.... climbing & city visuals ARE spectacular, but other visuals/graphics are not, combat is not what I would consider great or exceptional gameplay, although animations are very cool... hadn't seen any framerate problems... but it's not a AAA game at all. Cumbersome story & gameplay + slow are definates along with very postive points for concept & graphics. ...

COD4 & MASS EFFECT for me, Assassin's will be a rental. From what I've read, it just doesn't deserve $65 of my hard earned cash. If I had a PS3, I'd get Uncharted instead in a heartbeat.

LOL, don't worry, we won't. Plenty of FPS's to go around. Never really cared for any of the UT installments, & none of them were very successful. With Halo 3 & COD4, I really don't need any other fps's. Thanks, but no thanks. Get back to work on Gears 2 EPIC, it is obviously the best game you have ever made.

Questionable stealth elements and repetition prevent Assassin's from achieving greatness, but the free-running system and beautiful playgrounds mean Creed is still worth your attention.

As stunning as the game looks and as enthralled as I was by the story - which really is quite intrigu...
All I know is in every other review, there are 3 constants:
BORING + REPETITIVE + FRAMERATE ISSUES.
I had high hopes for this game, but either GameSpot is right & everyone else is wrong, or GameSpot is wrong. The latter seems more logical. Oh well, I suggest renting AC at this point....

Wow. What a shame. Boring + Repetitive + Framerate issues seems to be a constant in most all of the AC reviews. Graphics are nice, but just like Lair, this game proves graphics are only worth so much. I agree with JOY & others on this thread, for $60 framerate issues are simply UNACCEPTABLE.
Really depressed, I was really looking forward to AC, it's still a definate rental for me, but after the reviews I've read today, it ain't worth my hard earned cash. What's up with Game...

The Gravity Gun, Gravity Hammer, Dante + Ryu + Kratos' Swords, Torque Bow, Bioshock's RPG, a Flamethrower, the Spartan Laser, Gears' Chainsaw & Boomshot, plus a sweet Lightsaber for good measure, ...would be my personal fav's.
